Retail/Shop assistant

Do you have some spare time? Are you outgoing and friendly? We are always looking for people with good customer service skills that can work in our furniture shop and amongst our ReStore team .All training will be provided.

You will be helping with:

• Customer enquiries

• Handling phone calls

• Operating the till

• Helping stock the shop
  

Workshop Assistant

Do you have spare time? Do you enjoy working with your hands and being creative? We at Cothrom ReStore are looking for people to help in our workshop that can assist with preparing furniture for reuse. This will involve furniture repairs as well as upcycling. All training will be provided.

You will help with:

• Checking furniture is fit for purpose

• Creating upcycled furniture

• Repairing furniture

ReStore Van Driving

Do you enjoy being on the open roads in Uist? Here at Cothrom ReStore, we are looking for volunteers to drive our van. You will be assisting with the collections which are then bought back to the ReStore facility and repaired and sold, and deliveries of furniture to customers. If you enjoy meeting new people and driving around our islands then this could be perfect for you!

Applicants:

• Must be 25 or over

• Hold a full UK driving licence

• Be able to drive a 3.5 tonne van

• Will be subject to 6 monthly driving licence checks (first check completed before placement begins)

Van Assistant

Do you enjoy meeting new people and getting around our beautiful islands? Assisting on the ReStore van can help you be part of a team that collects and delivers furniture from Berneray to Barra. All furniture collected is then brought back to ReStore to be repaired and/or sold.

Applicants should:

• Be able to lift heavy loads

• Work in a team

• Have good knowledge of the islands (desirable but not essential)
